Tell Pro Grade 2 Clutch Storeroom Lever Lock - US26D Finish
For doors that should never be left unlocked. The Tell LC2600 Series storeroom lever lock keeps the outside lever locked at all times, so nobody can forget to lock it. Only a key opens the door from outside, and the inside lever always allows free exit.
It includes a freewheeling clutch. When locked, the outside lever spins freely instead of resisting force. Someone hanging on, kicking, or using a pipe on the lever can’t break the internal parts or force it open, which is why it suits utility rooms, back hallways, and other doors exposed to abuse.
It’s ANSI Grade 2, rated to 400,000 cycles, and finished in US26D satin chrome (BHMA 626). It installs in a standard 161 door prep with a non-handed lever.

Storeroom Function (86)

Ideal for: storage rooms, mechanical and electrical rooms, IT and server closets, janitorial closets, supply rooms, stockrooms, and back-of-house doors.
FAQ
What’s the difference between storeroom and entry function?
An entry lock has a push-button inside, so it can be left unlocked. A storeroom lock is always locked from outside and has no way to leave it open. Use storeroom anywhere the door must stay secure.
What does a freewheeling clutch do?
When locked, the outside lever turns freely without engaging the latch. Force applied to the lever goes nowhere, which prevents broken internal parts and forced entry.
Can I get out if I’m locked inside?
Yes. The inside lever always opens the door.
Can I rekey it to match my other locks?
Yes. The Schlage C keyway rekeys to any existing Schlage C system.
Is it rated for fire doors?
Yes. It is UL/ULC listed for 3-hour fire-rated openings.
