Tell Pro Grade 2 Classroom Intruder Lever Lock - US26D Finish
Lock down without stepping into the hallway. A standard classroom lock can only be locked from the corridor side, so a teacher has to open the door and step out to secure the room, which is the wrong move in an emergency. The Tell LC2600 Series classroom intruder lever lock solves that. A key from inside the room locks the outside lever, so staff can secure the door without opening it.
The inside lever always allows free exit, so occupants can leave immediately and the lock meets life-safety egress requirements.
It’s ANSI Grade 2, rated to 400,000 cycles, and finished in US26D satin chrome (BHMA 626). It installs in a standard 161 door prep with a non-handed lever.

FAQ
What’s the difference between a classroom lock and a classroom intruder lock?
A standard classroom lock can only be locked from the hallway side. An intruder lock can be locked from inside the room with a key, so staff never have to step out during a lockdown.
Can someone inside the room get out?
Yes, always. The inside lever opens the door in any condition.
Why does it use a key inside instead of a push-button?
A key keeps control with staff. Students or intruders can’t lock the door to shut others out or unlock it from inside the room.
Can it be keyed to our existing school system?
Yes. Both Schlage C keyway cylinders can be keyed alike or master keyed to an existing Schlage C system.
Does it meet school safety requirements?
It provides the inside-locking, free-egress function that many state school safety guidelines recommend. Check your local fire marshal or AHJ and your state’s requirements for your specific doors.
