The c clip tool didn’t fit the Schlage lock. Other than that it’s a great kit

Great product, great book. Made it super easy to rekey some locks.

Assembly instructions are poor at best. There are parts in the kit for which there is no stated use. Photographs show the main attachment plate backwards, and there is no mention of the fit options for the headboard mounting brackets. The author of the instructions apparently failed to view the instructions from the perspective of the consumer.

...the included follower (Pro Universal) will NOT work for Schlage “F” series locks, One should also order the LAB Schlage Follower, SKU LABFLT000, if you would like assurance of "no top pin pop out" during cylinder removal. It possible to just use the included follower, however there is very little room for error when extracting the cylinder. Otherwise a 5 star kit, if they would include LABFLT0000.

The kit should include a tweezer for grabbing the pins.

Otherwise, the kit is fine.

I read the book on rekeying, its a good read plus pack with reason of Why's and Why Not's. Then repeated later in the following text WHY. The test and information well written and easy to understand and follow.

I am in the process of learning this skill set. I have almost everything to rekey locks. My only complaint: the plug follower is too small as I am using commercial deadbolt locks. All else was great. Delivery time, product is exactly as advertised.

Pins and folkier tool worked okay, but the “C” clip removal tool did not work on my locks.

Bought the Schlage rekeying kit and was able to rekey 7 locks in a very short time. Just what was needed.

This was perfect for my needs, and way cheaper than similar products on other sites. Was honestly pretty shocked when I ordered this and it showed up the next day. I don't know how they even shipped it so fast.

Strongly recommend you check youtube for some great tutorials if this is your first time re-keying locks. I did and I'm very happy with what I found. Only minor annoyance was that the pins came in little plastic baggies which I dumped out and threw away. Kind of wasteful, but I get why they packaged them this way to avoid mixups during shipping.

Have rekeyed 5 locks so far with absolutely no issues. Have been able to do both deadbolts and handles. Can now do one in about 10 minutes. Great product.

The kit has the parts and works, but the case is problematic. It could use a better seal. It was knocked open in shipping leaving a mess. Something tells me it may not survive life in the garage.

This pin kit worked well for me. I rekeyed eleven locks to a master system with three area keys. Larger kit than I needed but you never know when more locks will come along.

Clip removal tool shown was not the one included in kit. One included did not fit the cylinder and therefore, could not remove the clip! Would be nice to include a key guage in the kit as well.

My kit did not include the (i) cylinder cap removal tool, or a needle nose tweezers. While you can do the re-pinning without the cylinder cap removal tool, it is substantially easier and faster with it. The follower tube is light plastic and cannot be used to remove the cylinder cap on a deadbolt lock.

I now have six garage building pass doors all keyed alike. One key, not key ring, sweet. This is a nice basic kit.
The book was helpful for general knowledge but the follower tool provided it plastic and does not catch the upper pins quick enough to hold them. I actually learned more having all the pieces in hand and the book reassures that it's all fixable. Thanks.
