Locksmith Tool Review | The LAB Super Wedge Universal Pinning Kit - Everything you could EVER want!

Having a Superwedge Pinning Kit by LAB is like having a 3500 HD in the locksmithing business. It is a tool every locksmith should have because it has everything you could ever want out of a pinning kit with a whole bunch of extra features.

The Superwedge Pinning Kit is a universal pinning kit and this is a 3000s version. If you don't know the difference between a 3000 or 5000 of universal pinning kit or you really don't even understand what a universal pinning kit is, here’s a link that would help.

This pinning kit on the top as far as the size goes. It is 22 inches long, eight inches deep, five inches tall in the front, and six inches in the back.

A Superwedge Pinning Kit looks identically to a universal pinning kit. The color coded pins with 75 sizes or 75 pins of each size, some color coded charts like Kwikset, Schlage, Yale, Arrow and etc. However, what really separates this super wedge is the drawer beneath it. The drawer is huge and has a ton of space here to put all sorts of different tools and parts. You can put a lishi cutter and other locksmithing items that could fit. It is like a main workstation.

The square-shaped special cut out is where you can put the LAB pinning block. There's a bunch of extra spots for some tweezers, followers, and the likes. Aside from it having a plenty of extra space, what I love about this Superwedge Pinning Kit unique is how the pins sit at an angle. Not only does it make it easy to see the sizes of pins you need, that you don't have to kind of peek over at them to see, but it also kind of gives you that fun cockpit kind of feel - that you're sitting there.

And that's the Superwedge Pinning Kit by LAB. What do you think of it? Put in the comments below. I'd love to know your thoughts. Thank you and we'll see you next time!
