Having trouble cutting the B106 Z Style GM Double-Sided Keys using a machine that has two-way jaws? If so, you're missing out the GM Z keyway clamping adapter. They're these little two tiny pieces with keyway groove on them.
COMMON LOCKSMITH PROBLEM
The common locksmith problem in cutting keys like the B106 Z Style GM Double-Sided Keys is inadequate material to clamp the key. This might result in the key flinging up, fly, or, worst, miscut the key.
Typically, your option is to clamp the key past this groove up here on this spot.
But the problem is when you put it in your machine that way, even though you get it straight as you start to clamp it down, it's going to put it at an angle just like that, due to the grooves on the backside, which will result to a miscut.
LOCKBOSS SOLUTION
Avail the GM Z keyway clamping adapter. Its groove matches the B106 keyway, the same keyway used on the B111 transponder circle plus key.
All you need to do is to put it on the groove at the backside of the key. Since it fits very well, you can slide it around. It will cost no problem.
Once you do that, stick the key into the machine here and do the job. It comes with pair, so you have another adapter for the blank key. Install it the same way.
That's how you cut the B106 Z Style GM Double-Sided Keys without trouble using the GM Z keyway adapters. Thanks, and we'll see you next time!
