Learn more about the Strike-Rite. On applications like the metal frame with the strike plate, that's mortised in. Once it's set and the door is set, it's tough to adjust it if there's any slop in the door, and this Strike-Rite has made the little adjustment tab, so you can adjust the latch position to make sure the door is nice and tight.
Next to the latch is a set screw. You can adjust to set the latch where it needs to go and can be tightened by the set screw using an Allen screw. The set screw will keep the latch friendly and secure.
HOW IT WORKS
On a mock door, even if it is closed, you'll notice that it wiggles quite a bit; to get rid of that, you have to adjust the latch.
Once the latch is adjusted and there is slop on the door, tighten the set screw, and the latch will stay in its place.
One of its best features is as the weather or climate changes and you need to adjust it, you can easily loosen up the set screw a little bit and accommodate the latch. It will allow you not to have to do any extra mortised in or changing on the jam. Thanks, and we'll see you next time.
