Honda High Security Pinning Kit: Fix Tumblers in Honda Locks | Video

The ASP Honda High Security Pinning Kit (A-19-108) provides locksmiths with everything they need to rebuild the tumblers inside of a Honda lock. Yes, this pinning kit makes it trouble-free to fix ignition, door or trunk locks from almost any Honda vehicle you receive at your locksmith shop.

It is well known amongst professional locksmiths that Honda has had a notorious problem with wafers wearing out and causing problems with the keys not turning the lock. The most cost-effective solution for your customers most of the time is to replace the wafers inside. The ASP Honda High Security Pinning kit (A-19-108) comes with 20 each of the half tumblers, 30 springs and 10 each of the full tumblers. So, whether you’re working on the ignition lock or on a door lock, all of the wafers in the front of the key are going to be the split ones in the kit and usually the ones that appear at the tip of the key are going to be the full side wafers.

Locksmiths that have to rebuild the tumblers of a Honda ignition lock, will have to turn the key and remove the roll pin so that the whole plug comes out. Then, take the key out, take one wafer out at the time and replace it with wafers from the ASP Honda High Security Pinning Kit (A-19-108). Typically, unless the key is really worn, this is going to fix the ignition issues. Locksmiths can repeat the same process for any issue with trunk locks or door locks.

The ASP Honda High Security Pinning Kit (A-19-108) can be used to rebuild the tumblers of locks of the following Honda vehicles: Acura, Accord, Civic, Crosstour, CRV, CRZ, Element, Fit, HRV, Insight, Odyssey, Pilot, Ridgeline and S2000.
